Dareous de l'Estaube
(Best Aube de La Tomiere x Vialette)
In 1989, Kim Lasley of Mistry Kennels in San Diego & I imported "Spike" from Guy Mansencal in France. We were especially interested in Spike because his mother was a first generation registered dog from high in the Pyrenees Mountains. Vialette earned her keep as a working sheepdog day in & day out. This was of interest for two reasons:
1) to maintain the herding instinct and working abilities of Pyrenean Shepherds in America,
2) as a useful outcross to the stock I had already imported. He turned into a lovely, outgoing little dog with excellent movement coming & going, and outstanding coat texture. He sired two influential Pyr Sheps in his first litter, my own CH Mistry's Willy de La Brise & Mistry's Savannah, the foundation bitch.for Kathy Braun's Wedgwood Pyreneans in Seattle, WA.
